Design.
Understand Sleeping Data
The user should be able to immediately understand what happened during the previous night upon opening the app. However, the original design has low information density and ineffective information hierarchy on the home screen, providing only limited insights.
- Prioritize last night’s outcome as the primary entry point with a visualized graph
- Condense information on the home page
- Transform a collection of disconnected metrics into a clear narrative summary of the user’s sleep
- Classify sleep metrics and break them down into different forms
Understand Sleep Trend
As the app continuously collects users’ sleep data, it enables data scientists to derive meaningful sleep trends across defined time cycles. However, the original design used only a calendar view that encodes sleep scores with color, preventing users from perceiving patterns and changes over time.
- Have a weekly and monthly summary that compares different sleep metrics in a visualized way
- Highlight positive and negative change by color and shapes
- Add a calendar table to choose a time frame flexibly
Achieve the Goal
23% Increse DAU OZI Sleep connects 3D printed hardware with a mobile app to effectively improve users’ sleeping status. However, the current solution just plainly showcases the data rather than encourages users to achieve their original goal.
- Compulsively force the user to set their sleeping goal monthly
- Add Sleeping Insight compared to their goal
- Sleeping assistant that intelligently anaglze their behavior and trend.
- AI-generated Sleep Music that could play during sleep in the integrated pod
