I’m Carrie Wang, a product designer specializing in User experience and cross-platform interface,  with a focus on physical interaction, multi-media design, and artificial intelligence
I am currently an M.S. Design Technology student at Cornell University. I previously graduated with high distinction from the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Design with a minor in Media & Entertainment Industry and Game Design. I love combining design and problem-solving to create impactful user experiences. I’m currently works as Product Designer at Shang Yu Tech, where I’ve been leading the design of a mobile app.

12/2024-NOW.     RemoteShang Yu Techonology Co.  PRODUCT DESIGNER      
  • Led user research by conducting and analyzing 24 survey responses and 3 interviews to identify different stakeholders in the fishing market (anglers and social media influencers), resulting in user personas, affinity maps, concept maps, information architecture, and user flows to guide product decisions in the management team
  • Developed and implemented a design system with 5 sections to enhance user interface consistency and optimize communication with the development team
  •  Created wireframes and prototyped high-fidelity mobile interfaces for iOS and Android within 200+ pages using Figma
  • Conducted and analyzed 3 rounds of A/B testing with 8 participants within five main app features, achieving an average 21.3% boost in task completion time and reducing 14% fewer user errors during navigation

  • Founded Fuzz Lab, specializing in handcraft tufting, via the collaboration with a local boba shop to build reputation and attract consumers; established its first individual studio after generating $40,000 in revenue within 6 months
  • Executed the studio's brand strategy, defining its visual identity by designing logomark & logotype, menu, tutorials, posters, and brand guidelines with an average of 200+ likes on the Instagram posts
  • Conceptualized, designed, and deployed the studio website with an average 34.8% CTR by leveraging HTML and CSS; optimized the website SEO by adding meta descriptions with an average of 4th position on Google search engine

  CREATIVE DESIGNER INTERN      

  • Participated in the development of AR lens to optimize warehouse equipments, using 360 videos to simulate the practical operation experience for 2000 officers in Logistics Warehouse Experience Zone
  • Visualized the Logistics Warehouse in terms of exhibition materials, including the wall, floor, and displaying desks, and administered a three-people team to follow the aesthetics for design assets
  • Designed a commodity thumbnail template on the Taobao Platform by defining purchasing factors of diverse commodities groups by analyzing 500+ customer questionnaire responses and investigating 4 competitor platforms, achieving an increase of 6.8% in click rate within 7 rounds of A/B testing 
  • Updated an existing brand of 7000+ chain stores by designing logo, brand guidelines and customer experiences to fit in diverse retail store layout
