Task 1

Calibrate the camera for monitoring

Camera calibration is the foundation of the algorithm. The onboarding flow should be straightforward to follow, with clear action steps that officers without technical experience can complete correctly. System alerts should be obvious and hard to miss, so critical issues are noticed immediately and corrected in time.

Problem DiscoveredDesign Strategy01Onboarding is hard.
  • Have suggested steps when the user prompt the edit the calibration page

02Officers are unable to recognize the errors with the unclear actions.
  • Add alert tooltips when the area is not being labeled
  • Set a toolbar identify all the possible actions with annotations.
  • Show tooltips to prompt for the possible action within the user flow.

Task 2

Review Dealer Fault Incidents

Since algorithms detect all dealer fault incidents, the officer needs to verify their authenticity manually.

Problem DiscoveredDesign Strategy01Officer doesn’t know which cases have been reviewed.
  • Noticable alert when incidents are detected
  • Color-coded the cases in the table

02The categorization for cases is repetitive and unclear.
  • Bound doable actions with specific categories
  • Provide an entry for reporting errors

03Manager is not able to have a full picture of the incidents
  • Contain a visualized dashboard for an overview. Different types of incidents need their own individual report
